Dear TFF: Have just had 17.0.11 Corrupt my places.sqlite (Favicon db) twice in a row. One time it also currupted my bookmarks.html file. Not sure what is happening here, but I'll be headed back to 17.0.10 till I hear differently from you. BTW, both incidents happend when restoring saved tabs - if that helps.

Can you give us more exact steps to reproduce? Did you get an error message that places.sqlite is corrupted? Did you restore the tabs after a crash, or after a restart, or did you "restore recently closed tabs"? I tried all of this with 17.0.11 but can't reproduce it.

I can't reproduce it restoring saved tabs either. The only change in 17.0.11 is a safety check in establishing SSL connections, so if there actually is a reproducible issue here, it almost certainly affects 17.0.10 as well.
