I'm using TFF 10.0 on my iBook G4 1.33Mhz (10.5.8), on my G4MDD
2x1.25 (10.5.8), on an iMac G4 700Mhz and the Cube (450 Mhz)
-10.4.11 for these-. All these Mac have between 750 Mb and 1.5 Gb
of RAM
For each, I selected the correct version/processor. The latest
build is so much slower than the previous one -wich was slower than
8), it's only usable on the MDD. Unusable even on the iBook, and
unlaunchable on other system. Nearly 3 minutes only to show the
menu on these.

But what is curious is that CPU is not so high (20%), memory is
about 350 Mb On the G4, everything is slow, even opening a new tab,
clicking a link and TFF took time to do something.... Switching
between tab, showing menu, quit, everything is slow, lazy (?). And
not so much CPU, nor RAM.

What's going wrong ? I'm back to TFF 8 wich work almost
perfectly on the slower G4. Plugins activated, some customization
in about:config...

JVernettag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/136173552012-03-01T23:32:52Z2012-03-01T23:32:52ZLatest version so sloooooowwww on G4

Have you noticed any improvement with 10.0.2?

Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/136173552012-03-02T06:19:40Z2012-03-02T06:19:41ZLatest version so sloooooowwww on G4

If it's a snappy load you're after Camino is your best bet

snaptag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/136173552012-03-03T14:17:05Z2012-03-03T14:17:06ZLatest version so sloooooowwww on G4

Hi,

Just downloaded 10.0.2. And yes, definitively faster than 10.0.1
! Nothing in common !

What was the problem ?

JVERNET

JVernettag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/136173552012-03-03T16:37:45Z2012-03-03T16:37:45ZLatest version so sloooooowwww on G4

No idea. However, branching is much faster in the JavaScript JIT
in 10.0.2, so perhaps your system was more affected by this than
others. Either way, glad to hear it.

Cameron Kaiser
