I'm not
completely sure if plugins are involved, but this doesn't seem to
be the case. If I disable plugins in Safari and re-start it, audio
still works. I need a little more time to investigate this.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/282933802013-08-16T12:46:29Z2013-08-16T12:46:29ZSynology Audio Station "loading" insead playing<div><p>It doesn't work in Camino, either, so I guess it's a Gecko
issue, rather than a plugin issue. Do you have any means to test
this in Firefox on Windows or Linux?</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/282933802013-08-16T13:59:47Z2013-08-16T13:59:47ZSynology Audio Station "loading" insead playing<div><p>Kaucuk, if these are MP3 or MP4/AAC files, Gecko browsers can't
play them; they lack the media codec. Safari has both codecs.</p>
<p>At some point Firefox will incorporate GStreamer to use
QuickTime to assist this, and I plan to support that, but I don't
see it occuring much before Firefox 26 or 27 (if we get that
far).</p></div>Cameron Kaiser
