I am able to open Appleworks 6, but when I start to type in Word Processing, I get
the message: word processing quit unexpectedly.

Hello Jane, this help desk is for the web browser TenFourFox, not AppleWorks, so please respect that I close this thread with this comment.

However, you may be able to get AppleWorks to work again by deleting its preferences. Go to Macintosh HD/Users/[your user name]/Library/Preferences and move the AppleWorks folder to the Desktop.

You may also find help at the AppleWorks User Group (http://www.awug.org/community) or the Low End Mac or PowerPC groups on Facebook.

Thank you for your suggestions. So far, nothing has worked. Perhaps it is because I have an old
    e Mac 10.4.11, with Safari browser 4.1.3
It was kind of you to reply to my problem.
