Bookmark all Tabs -> export Bookmarks-> does not work
When exporting Bookmarks, all the "Bookmark all Tabs" only show the title of the folder (which can not be opened) without the Tabs saved in this folder. I have to use "Bookmark This Page" for every tab to be able to export the tabs for later use on a different mac. Any help is appreciated, thanks

I have to say that I can't replicate the problem. When I save open tabs via Bookmark All Tabs… and then export my bookmarks to html, those tabs are represented correctly as bookmarks in the resulting html file and can be opened in another browser.
Can you describe the steps you use to do this?

Thank you for the quick reply, i have reset TFfx but it did not help. Then I remembered I have changed settings in about:config following an article by eyoungren macrumors 6502a (browser.sessionstore.max_concurrent_tabs, 0 ...and other) and possibly this has something to do with it????. Interestingly all tabs show correctly and work in the Bookmarks menu. It is only when I go to "Show All Bookmarks"-> export Bookmarks to HTML when the resulting document shows only the title I have given to several tabs but not the tabs itself (see IRB usw, SAR usw, SAR2, R2 in the picture). Thank you

Peter, I doubt browser.sessionstore.max_concurrent_tabs has anything to do with it. It's a key that shouldn't be in your about:config anyway, I think it's long deprecated and without any function today. If I create this key and set it to 0, my bookmarked "all tabs" are still exported correctly.
If the saved tabs work correctly in the Bookmarks menu, then they're saved okay, and there must be something wrong with the HTML export function. Since I still can't reproduce the problem (neither in 17, nor in 22), all I can ask you ist to try a fresh Firefox profile temporarily and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't you/we'll have to go through your changed preferences settings and see what's the culprit.

Hi Chris,
It worked out after I changed my profile (a new one). One more Question, how do I get rid of the most visited Folder in the Bookmarks Toolbar. Thank you for your help.

Good to to hear your problem is solved. If you still want to troubleshoot your old profile (there must be some weird about:config setting) I'll be glad to help.
You can just right-click the Most Visited folder in the Bookmarks toolbar and delete it, no harm done.

Thanks a lot, I am glad it works again and I got rid of the Most Visited folder.
Best wishes,
Peter
