I have a Model iMac5,1 with OS 10.4.11 and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, I am beginning to have problems with Firefox. I see upgrades for G3, G4, and G5. Is there anything I can use to upgrade? Am I missing something??
THanks

Officially, no. Unofficially, there is a contributed TenFourFox version for Intel processors. It has NO SUPPORT. It may not work for you, and if it doesn't, it may never be fixed. It also lags behind the PowerPC versions as the maintainer has time to update it. Do not post problems with this build here as tickets will be closed. It has NO SUPPORT.

The best option for you, if at all possible, is to upgrade your Mac to at least 10.6 (Core 2 Duo iMacs should also be able to run 10.7, but they cannot run 10.8) and run the real Firefox. Apple still sells Snow Leopard install discs, last I checked. 10.6 will still run PowerPC applications if you need them.

If, however, you cannot update your Mac, then go here and read the instructions carefully.

You simply download TenFourFox from the main page (your system probably has a 7450 G4): http://www.tenfourfox.com/

Please note that 10.4.9 is technically not supported, although the browser will probably work. You should upgrade to 10.4.11, which is a free download from Apple.
