Using 17.0 and 10.4.11 - woke my iMac from Sleep this morning and every single cookie has been deleted, so spending the morning logging back in to dozens of sites. Nobody has been near it since I was using it last night (when all cookies where definitely still there and working).

How can this have happened?

This shouldn't happen. Do you have TenFourFox set to launch automatically when your iMac boots? Do you have TenFourFox set to clear cookies when closing the browser? Is you iMac protected (Require password to wake up)?

No to all three - it's certainly never happened before and hasn't happened today the couple of times I've woken it from sleep. Odd.

If you can rule out the possibility that your computer has been physically compromized when left unattended with no password protection, I'm as much at a loss here as you are.

It is strange, it certainly wasn't touched by anyone and nothing like it has ever happened before.

Could it be in any way hardware-related? Machine is getting old and popped a capacitor not long ago.

Hm, not impossible that it's hardware-related, but I guess it's a little far-fetched. There should be other things going wrong, then, not just this one.
