I want to:</p>
<p>-find the location in / where the bookmarks for 10-4fox are
stored. I go to the "profiles" folder under
/users/[myusername]/library/firefox/profiles/[profile name]. I see
the "bookmarks.html" and bookmarkbackup" folders. These are
apparently not the ones used because: -when I delete the bookmarks
and bookmarkbackups folders, when next I open 10-4fox, the same
bookmarks as always appear. So I assume 10-4fox is drawing these
from somewhere else (I have also emptied the cache before closing
10-4fox), or drawing from .plist or somewhere else. I don't really
want to delete all my firefox prefs. How can I start with a clean
slate of bookmarks without deleting the whole profile?</p>
<p>-I want to import and export bookmarks. This used to be simple,
since there was an "import" (maybe "export" too) drop-down menu
list in firefox. I cannot find these functions in 10-4 fox. I do
open the bookmarks mgr. when trying this. When I attempt to merely
move exported bookmarks from camino (renaming to "bookmarks.html")
there is no list of those bookmarks in the firefox profile folder,
just the same old firefox ones as before.</p>
<p>Do I need to login as another user & try again?</p>
<p>Thank you for your work.</p></div>greeengrasstag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/168729942012-06-25T18:12:35Z2012-06-25T18:14:41Zbookmarks - find file, export import?<div><p>Greengras, "places.sqlite" is the file you're looking for. It
contains your bookmarks and history. I have no idea why
"bookmarks.html" still needs to be in the profile folder. You can
use the Bookmarks Manager/Library (shift+Command+B) and clean up
your bookmarks in there. It can also export and import html
bookmark files. Mozilla has hidden these functions a bit
non-standard in the little buttons on top of the Library window,
without creating real menu bar entries for them.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/168729942013-01-23T09:55:09Z2013-01-23T09:55:09Zbookmarks - find file, export import?<div><p>Is there a way to automatically sort the bookmarks
alphabetically. I can't seem to find any way to do it other than
manually dragging and dropping each one.</p></div>JOHNtag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/168729942013-01-24T02:46:20Z2013-01-24T02:46:20Zbookmarks - find file, export import?<div><p>None that I am aware of.</p></div>Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/168729942013-01-24T02:50:23Z2013-01-28T22:01:49Zbookmarks - find file, export import?<div><p>Well that's kinda garbage then isn't it? It would be nice if
this can be added in the future. I realize fixes run in order of
priority, but this really should be a simple add. I appreciate your
reply. Cheers!</p>

four lines, right in between the gear button and the star button
(whatever they're called). You can sort from there in any way you
like, but curiously, the sorting order doesn't stick, nor is it
reflected in the actual Bookmarks Menu. So this function is
actually pointless.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/168729942013-01-28T22:03:55Z2013-01-28T22:03:55Zbookmarks - find file, export import?<div><p>BTW, TenFourFox behaves like Firefox in this respect. Any
complaints about it should go to Mozilla, not us.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)
