Thanks for the good wishes, but I think you (tenderapp) are perhaps
heading towards a missed opportunity here (perhaps due to the
exasperated tone of my initial posting.)

What I mean is, having adroitly filled a gap in the world of
browser software, you have a chance to acquire a nucleus of
extremely loyal and grateful customers. But not, I think, if you
address problems - and this clearly is one - by telling people to
take their business elsewhere if they don't like the product.

Steven M Harristag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/166831722012-06-15T22:49:14Z2012-06-15T22:49:14Z10.5 update

Cameron,

Guess I was just being an old sourpuss, which I find easy as to
do I was
often a young one as wel. Sorry.

For whatever reason TenFourFox now (after sitting idle for
several hours)
seems to feel that is has indeed been updated - and it's running at
a good
speed, faster than ever.

Maybe it will soon decide it's had enough of checking for
the
compatibility of add-ons each time I fire it up. I pllan to shut it
down
and leave the computer alone for a few more hours, it worked
wonders last
time.

Best regards and apologies,

Stephen M. Harris

Stephen M. Harristag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/166831722012-06-16T17:59:47Z2012-06-16T17:59:47Z10.5 update

I should address your statement above: this is purely a project
because I (and others who work on it) have a need for a PowerPC
browser, and we make it available for others to use, but it is not,
per se, a product. I try to make sure we address the needs of the
community because I think that's a nice thing to do, and Mozilla
agrees by making us their recommendation for Power Mac users who
can no longer run Firefox, but this isn't something for sale, we
don't ask for any money (and explicitly refuse donations) so that
no expectations are built, and if no one used it I'd still work on
it because I need it.

That said, I don't know how to explain the symptoms you're
noticing. It would be nice to know a little more about your
computer, the CPU and build you're using, and what add-ons you have
installed.

Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/166831722012-08-10T23:19:30Z2012-08-11T00:48:11Z10.5 update

Having downloaded TenFourFox7450-10, I cannot get a page to
open, but got the slightly to the left of visibility tiny screen
with the two options, one lit, and that's as far as this gets.

If it can't work for me on my iBook G4 1.44 GHz PowerPC G4,
Memory 1GB DDR SDRAM, running OS X Version 10.4.11, is there an
uninstall program available? I will do what I can to help the app
work - but what do I need to do, exactly. I am assuming that I have
downloaded the applicable TenFourFox app.

thanks,
