Veetle
In Safari, on a PowerBook, I can watch x264 Veetle HD. In TenFourFox, it defaults to Flash player. I know plugins are disabled, but considering it's still active I figured I'd ask.

(I've enabled plugins but Veetle still behaves as if I haven't)

That's because Mozilla products don't support the h.264 codec (yet). Only Web.M is supported natively in the browser because it's a free codec, unlike h.264, which requires license fees. Mozilla, however, has realized that Web.M isn't as widely used on the web as they intended, and has recently changed their policy. Software for mobile devices will get h.264 support, and Firefox/TenFourFox may get it as well, but we don't know that for certain right now.

Does the plugin work for you in Firefox 3.6.x?
I'm on my production system right now, so I'm not going to install and test the plugin. I'll try it on another Mac later this evening.

Even if it does work in 3.6, the plugin environment has changed dramatically, and TenFourFox doesn't support plugins of any kind any more anyway. You might report the issue to Veetle, but it's still an unsupported configuration for us.
If you couldn't live without it, OmniWeb would be a better choice than Safari and still gets updates, at least for the time being. Camino would also be an alternative.

Personally I use:
http://code.google.com/p/leopard-webkit/
It's really the undisputed champion of streaming.
With either a Low Level Interpreter from them or H.264 support in TFF next to come the future seems bright for PPC.

The Veetle plugins don't register correctly with TenFourFox (i.e., they're not even listed in the add-ons manager), only the VLC plugin that's contained in the bundle is recognized. It does, however, seem to work woth Safari 4.x and Firefox 3.6 (tested on 10.4.11).
In addition to what Cameron said: To me it doesn't look like this is TFF's fault; even if unsupported, plugins in general still work in TFF if they manage to register correctly. The Veetle developers would probably need to adjust their software to work with newer Firefox/Tenfourfox versions on PPC.

On the bright side it works with Tiger. All that's left is tiger-webkit...
